I'm new here and was wondering if there's anything you guys use to help with your back pain. I'm open to any and all suggestions.
I personally just bought this new fitness mat that's designed specifically for those with back pain. I haven't had the chance to use it much yet but hopefully it'll help.
For those interested I got it from here: G2 Back Mat
But yea, like I said, anyone else have anything that they might swear by??
Hi Albert!
I have had neck and back pain for over 35 yrs. - and have tried NUMEROUS items from the Lose the Back Pain website and have felt relief from every one of them... but not total correction of the basic problems... So if you need pain relief try these:
1. Heal N Soothe - capsules - they really do help relieve inflamation...
2. Rub on Relief - totally works on sore muscles!! - a cream
3. the Inversion Table gives immediate relief within 2 - 5 min. again which is temporary... it works like traction. You hang by your ankles... and you can use it several times a day... I don't know for sure that it could eventually correct a subluxation in the vertebrae...
3. the Lose the Back Pain System - I think - is one the all time best things to use... which helps you find some of your most basic causes of your back pain... and then teaches you exactly which exercises to do to correct the muscle imbalances you have. I am just now beginning to do the exercises and seeing great results...
4. the Back Joy -- I use all the time when seated at the computer or desk --- and esp. at all day seminars. It totally helps relieve stress and pain from sitting so much...
5 My favorite right now is the Trigger Point Therapy board.... ANY time I have tight, painful spots anywhere along the spine , in the neck or sciatica -- I just lay down on the floor and lay on top of the pegs for 2 mins at a time where ever it's tight and painful, then stretch for 60 seconds.... and I've got RELIEF!!
After all of the above -- I found from a chiropractor's x-rays - that my neck actually has a REVERSE curve to it (being at a -12 degrees - when it should be at a 42 degree curve - in the opposite direction!! ) I'm believeing now that his adjustments and therapy is a must in order to get the true basic cause of my problems corrected.. Everything else IS giving me relief from pain so I can enjoy life more NOW as I progress thru the improvement stages.. If you'd like to consider one or two of the Lose the Back Pain therapies - please use my affiliate website... https://gethealthy.infusionsoft.com/go/All-Products/KathyH
and feel free to ask me questions ....
Hi Albert. How long have you had your back pain? What was it caused by if you know? What have you tried? Are you seeing a doctor for it? I ask these questions because there are a lot of variables involved in finding the right treatment, and these are some of the first things you need to identify before diagnosing and find the right treatment for you.
I'm a writer, researcher and informational blogger about back pain, and try to help others find relief from their back pain. There are several products I could recommend, but again it depends on the information I asked above. If you'd answer these, I'd be happy to help you find the right product for you to find immediate and long-term relief. I have a lot of helpful information at my back pain blog if you'd like to check it out. And please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you. Have a great day!
I have back and buttock pain, worse now than before surgery, a lot of the pain is nerve pain from epidural fibrosis.
My only suggestions are a tens machine, and cooling gel which you can get at pharmacies. Also wheat packs are sometimes helpful.
Otherwise I rely on tramadol, meloxicam and amitriptyline, though they dont really touch it and i am told nerve pain is the worst pain to help.
I am shortly having a nerve root block
How about you?

I HIGHLY recommend that you find yourself a Maximized Living chiropractor and GO! Even if it's miles and miles away... I've been to 9 chiro's in my city over that past 36 years -- not one of them ever took a FOLLOW UP x-ray to see the improvement that's been made ---- and --- they have various traction items in the office to help get your spine back in alignment... At least check out their website www.maximizedliving.com and see how close one is.... It IS worth your time...
All the other chiro's adjusted the same places and relieved the 'symptoms' but he saw the cause..... the amount of curve that a neck is SUPPOSED to have is about 42degrees.... my x-ray showed mine at a -12 !!! therefore the whole rest of my spine is torqued every which way... and I've had tons of problems in my hips, thighs, lower back and knees... after 3 months of adjustments AND at-home traction -- I'm at a -9 ! Now -- I know there's hope... don't have any surgeries of root blocks.... find THE CAUSE and get that taken care of... Good luck!
