Has anyone tried using the inversion table without sturdy, tie-on shoes? I know they say to always have sturdy, tie-on shoes, but IS IT OK TO USE IT WITHOUT? - Like slip-ons or just socks? Has anyone ever slipped out of it during use? It's a MAJOR ordeal for me to just get my right shoe and sock on because of my not bending 'challenges' - I just want to get on it whenever I can.... without having to change shoes and maybe have to put socks on too -esp. during the summer.....
Am I sounding just lazy?? but it IS a huge effort to just put on my shoes and socks..... ???
Any suggestions?
Thanks.....
I tried it once with slippers on, and wouldn't do it again, didn't feel too secure, and it caused me to tense up my feet, and therefore tense up my body, which obviously defeats the object of Inversion!!
Have you got a partner? Have them put your shoes and socks on, apart from that I can't think of any alternatives really...
Thanks Dan -
Yes, I'm asking my husband to help with my sock and shoe all the time ... and it's just a nuisance..... Today, I was standing and juicing vegetables for 2.5 hours - and by that time the pressure, pain and stiffness was excruciating! I RAN for my shoes and socks - fortunately my husband was home --- and I got on the table for 5 min. !!! and all the pain was gone -- but the stiffness lasted longer. I took 3 more Lifezyme which seemed to help too - I couldn't tell too much because I had to go sit thru a 2 hour seminar. it was somewhat better- later.
I also have kept noticing that it really seems like the top of both the heel and front of the shoe seem to help hold my feet in place. And there is just enough of a 'scare' that keeps me from trying it without the shoes.... :)
Oh, I have discovered by ALSO taking a triple strength fish oil - I feel the joints are more lubricated. I was surprised at the noticeable difference....
Thanks for your response, Dan......
I would suggest not standing for 2.5 hours juicing vegetables, someone without back pain I'm sure would develop pain or discomfort for that amount of time, if your going to do something like that in future, try alternating from standing both feet on ground, perfect posture, then try elevating one leg by putting your right or left leg on a stool, this will help, and then maybe try sitting...
Being in one position for that amount of time will cause problems, the body was meant to move, so move :)
